Twas the Night Before Kindergarten

Today was Conrad's Kindergarten orientation! We got to meet his teacher and learn a little about this upcoming year. The school does not allowed parents to walk the kids up to their rooms. Kindergarten students will be dropped off and picked up at the kindergarten playground gate. It is scary not being able to walk them in and get them settled but I guess it's a safety precaution and teaches them to be independent. So we had to take our pictures with the teacher today since we wont get to go into their room tomorrow. After we were done with orientation we went shopping and picked out a backpack and new shoes.
Tonight we read some back to school books and talked about his first day tomorrow. He is so excited and positive. I however am a little nervous and a little sad. I'm nervous that he might not like it, he won't excel at learning, he might get discouraged, he won't be pushed to his full potential, he won't have enough encouragement, he might not pick the right kinds of friends, he might get bullied, etc... I could probably go on forever. He is my first born child my only son and my sweet little baby. I am just now, after being so excited, a little bit sad. How did he grow up so fast? It seems like only moments ago I was watching him sleep peacefully in his baby swing. Now he is going to be sent out into the world by himself. I think I might just spend all day tomorrow crying by the school gate waiting to pick him up.

Milestones

It seems like all my friends who have kiddos about the same age as Eloise have posted pictures of their little ones sitting up weeks and weeks ago. Eloise is so happy and content I just assumed she was content rolling on the floor playing with toys and watching her brother and sister.  Although, deep down I was a little sad she wasn't hitting her milestones at the same time or earlier then the others. My other two were sitting,  crawling and exceeding others their age at this point so I just thought she would be too. however, she is so happy and easy going  I guess its her nature. The thing  tho, with the sitting is that she would much rather stand. If I try to sit her down she tries to stand up and then just falls over. Today I sat her down and let go and she stayed sitting up! I was shocked! She even wobbled a bit and corrected herself. What a tricky little booger! I bet she could have sat up all this time...Stubborn and persistent are new traits I would like to add to her personality. She just wanted to stand and not bother with the other things.

Look at this cutie pie sit up by herself!!!

Little Eloise

You are six months old now and you cut your first tooth!! Your bottom right tooth just magically appeared on the 8th. You weren't fussy or grumpy and your gums weren't swollen. I stuck my finger in your mouth so you could chew it and was shocked to feel a sharp little tooth poking out. I had no idea you were ready to get one! I couldn't believe it. It made me cry. You are my baby and I am just not ready to say goodbye to your big gummy grins and the sweet little turtle face you make. Those adorable faces melt my heart and send me over the moon in love with you. You are supposed to stay little for always. Guess I better get my fill while I can.

Eloise is 1 month old

Jan 28th

Eloise you are one month old today. I can not believe the time has flown by so fast and I'm a little sad you will not be so tiny a sweet forever. I love the way you smell and the sweet noises you make. You are such a sweet and content baby. From the minute you were born you have been so at peace in this world. I hope you always gave that content feeling and senses calm .

You sleep great! You go for five hour stretches and you let me sleep, thank you! You are so happy when your awake. You are so loved by everyone and you love them back. You loce to be held by anyone and are so happy to have a visit. Such a sweet little baby.

Eloise Rose

She is here!! I woke up crampy on December 28th. Didn't think much of it. I had a dr apt at 2 and tried to call out sick from it but Dr. Avants insisted I come in anyway and I'm glad she did or Miss Eloise would have been born at home or on the side of the freeway. As soon as she checked me she said oh my goodness your 6cm dilated and you need to go to the hospital now. So off I went...
Two hours later (5:38pm)
Eloise came into the world. 7lbs 4oz, 19inches. She was beautiful and so sweet. As soon as I held her she was so content. She looked at me and cooed. She didn't cry at all. She was so peaceful.
I had my aunt Kathy with me and My sister in law. My kids were also with me up until push time. Conrad was very concerned with the whole process and was a great little daddy. Asking me every few minutes if I was okay giving me kisses and just very nervous for me. I'm glad they were all in the room to help me get thru it. I did it all natural this time and I'm glad I did. Contractions were a piece of cake. But pushing was so horrible I don't think I'll ever do that again...not without an epidural anyway.
Eloise was amazing and healthy and we got to go home the next day with clean bills of health. She ate like a champ and slept even better!! So calm and content with the world. An amazing little baby and a wonderful addition to our home.

38 weeks 3days

Well after a whole week of being dilated 2cm and being 45% effaced I am still the same. I was pretty shocked nothing had changed since I've had some pretty good contractions lately and they are defiantly becoming more frequent. Oh well I'm glad Eloise is happy in my belly. I just hope she stays in until after Christmas now. Maybe she will be a new years baby after all!!

Back at it!

My computer has a weird virus that won't allow me to access any google related websites. Blogger sadly falls under that category do I've been locked out. Until I had a duh moment and uploaded the app to my iPhone. Duh!! So here I am and so happy to be back! Can't wait until my DH who happens to be a computer genius and software architect decides to fix my computer. What's that saying about a marrying a carpenter and never getting your dream home?? Something like that, yea, my pc will prob never get fixed. Lol
Any who I am here on my iPhone for now and it's better then nothing. At least I can write down and remember my life. Because I'm pretty sure my memory is failing me already.

Life Lessons

Today I learned a lesson...

Never ever attempt to cut your child's hair if you have no barbering training.  Yep, that's right I tried to cut my sons hair. I am beginning to think its kind of a right of passage for mother and son because almost everyone I've talked to has had the same traumatic incident happen to them.  the process is somewhat like this...
"my kid needs a hair cut. I don't feel like packing him up and driving down to the barber shop and forking over $20 for a hair cut. All I need is a pair of hair-clippers, I'll save so much money every year if i just do this myself...more money for shoes!! . How hard can it be right?"

yea, that was my thought process. So I went out and bought the cheapest $20 hair clippers Target had to offer.
"$20 Those look good! Hey, that's how much money I would spend on a hair cut and now I will only pay this one time and I'll call it an investment!! I never have to go to that fancy shmancy Kids Kuts place again!! Muahahaha!!  How hard can it be right?"

So we get home pull a chair out to the garage and get set up. Unpack the clippers and turn those bad boys on...
" Here we go... this wont be hard at all. Nice even fluid stroked across his head.... Oh shoot, thats a little shorter then I thought. Well, thats alright as long as its all even.'"

Then your ticklish 4 year old starts to squirm and giggle.  You ask him to "hold still just like you do at the hair place for the nice old lady who cuts your hair. Okay?"  "Yea, okay mom, but it tickles!" "Yes, I know but just hold still for a few minutes"  Next buzz goes smoothly. Then he decides to turn his head as fast as he can to watch for the car coming down the street...
"SHIT! Oh crap!! This is just great... WTH am I going to do now? Just make it a little shorter I guess. It's summer time after all no one has to know I didn't mean for it to be this short...

So you continue on with the hair cut and finally give up when its all as short as humanly possible and patchy in some spots.
"Well I guess that's even enough, can't get any shorter unless i go get my razor out of the shower. He has a few hats he can wear for the next week or two. It will grow back, his hair grows so fast it will be back to normal in no time.

Then I walk around to the front of my sweet little boy to see the damage.
"OMG WHAT DID I DO?!" He looks like a pitiful bald little thing. That was harder then I thought! I am never doing this again!

Smile at your kiddo and tell him he is bald and beautiful and his hair will grow back reall soon. Throw in a "Especially if you eat all your veggies!"  Give him a hug, brush him off and send him in the house for a shower.

Your kid see's his reflection in the mirror and jumps back in terror and rubs his head vigorously, then starts to cry. You feel like the worlds worst mother and you start to cry too and vow to him you will never ever touch his beautiful hair again!!

Bald and uneven but still handsome :)

15 Weeks

This is a couple days late...see I am playing catch up again only not so bad this time.

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 15 weeks

Size of baby: 4 inches, 2 1/2 ounces. Baby is the size of an apple
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Maybe 1 or 2 pounds.

Maternity Clothes: Nope not yet, I still fit in most of my jeans and clothes! I think this baby is sitting higher this time.
Gender: Don't know yet. Both kids say its a girl. Daddy and the Chinese Gender Chart ( which has always been right) say boy. I say boy too but based on how I feel and the way my belly is sitting at this time it's more like the pregnancy I had with Kylie, so it might be a girl.
Movement: I just felt a kick the other day!
Sleep: Eh, it's like a light restless sleep most nights and I already get up a couple times a night to pee.
Symptoms: Tired, like a zombie. A little nauseous but i haven't gotten sick, dizzy & heart burn.
What I miss: Drinks by the pool and RedBull
Cravings: Spicy V8 juice I make it into a virgin Bloody Mary extra spicy. I am eating more salty food and less sweet stuff.
Best Moment this week: Feeling the baby kick and Kylie kissing and rubbing my belly. :)
What I am looking forward to: Next Dr. Apt and finding out the gender of the baby. t

Baby, baby, baby oh...

Yep that's right number 3 coming soon!

Here I am at like 9 weeks

Here is the BellyBean @9 weeks 2 days

My belly again @ 14 Weeks. 4 Months & in the 2nd trimester!

Today I am15 weeks and I felt belly bean kick! I am sure I have felt it before but wasn't totally sure. This was for sure... I think.  It happened a few times in a row and it was very distinct little thump above my pelvis.

Conrad's 4th Birthday

 JUNE 5th 2011

This birthday was hard for me. How did my little baby boy become a big kid so fast? Seriously?! Next year he will be off to kindergarten and thats just too hard to imagine. I feel like just yesterday he was a tiny little baby crawling around and getting into everything, snuggling and laughing and just being a sweet baby. Now he is running around, causing mayhem, telling jokes, playing tricks, laughing and expressing all of his emotions. Questioning everything and forming his own opinions and ideas and just talking non stop. Someone really needs to find a way to stop the aging process soon because I just don't want this to go by any faster.

Went to lunch the day before his birthday!

Someone who wasn't the birthday boy stole the birthday sundae...

We didn't have a party this year just a little at home party for our little family.
My sweet little Jedi.

Super cute cupcakes

Make a wish...He wished to become a Jedi  :)

Looks like they were delicious!

playing with his new light-saber...it's not like he doesn't already have 5 others.

The next day we had brunch with Mickey mouse at Disney hotel.

Thinking of what to wish for...

Dancing with Mickey!

Bumping fists with Stitch

Kisses for Minnie

Daisy had kisses for Conrad... she was such a flirt.

Dancing with Daisy

Now I must admit... I only chose this breakfast option because I heard Daisy was always there. I LOVE Daisy Duck. She has always been my favorite Disney character and In all my years of Disney visits I had never seen her character out in the park other then in parades. So I was really Excited!  I may or may not have teared up when we got to meet her... Shhh...
yep, thats about the point I teared up. Drew laughed at me so I was to embarrassed to get a picture with her by myself  for fear of further teasing from my DH.

So despite not having a party this year, Conrad had a pretty good Birthday.
