1st Day of School

Yesterday was Kylie's first day of school and Conrad started his second year at preschool.  Conrad was excited to see his friends again and he was happy to have his sister there. He said he would be a good big brother and take good care of sister for me. I love that he is such a loving and attentive brother, I don't think I'll ever have to worry about Kylie while big brother is around. Kylie was excited too! Every morning over the past year when we drop brother off at school she cries so hard for him and she always tries to get onto the playground to play with all the kids. I knew she was ready but I wasn't sure how she would be once she realized I wasn't going to stay with her.  I was also worried about them being in the same classroom but in different classes. I knew she would be trying to be with brother on his side of the room the whole time and I was right!
I pulled up to pick them up a half an hour early so I could watch them eat lunch outside. After Kylie was done eating her lunch she got up and tried to make her way over to brothers table and stopped to talk to another little boy on the way. Lord help me, she is already talking to boys! Then she disappeared into the sea of kids and I heard her scream and cry but I couldn't see her. Then I saw her teacher pick her up and another teacher come over and take a little boy to an empty bench for a time out and she said " you don't push the little babies!" Awe, my poor baby girl bullied by a big boy on her first day. I almost broke down and sobbed in the car and I said a little prayer that she never encounters a bully again. I decided I couldn't watch her cry anymore and went in to pick them up.

First day of School!!

All ready to go and YES she insisted on bringing Snow White!

Big Brother helping her hang up her lunch box.

She went right out to play with the other kids no problem!

They survived the first day! She was kinda mad at me I think. hehehe

When I went into Kylie's class to get her I think every single kid was crying or screaming. The teacher said that almost all of the kids were new or had just moved over from the nursery into her class and everyone was still adjusting. Poor thing, the teacher that is! I don't know if i could deal with all those crying two year olds!! The report is Kylie did great but she did cry a lot. She kept trying to get over to her brother and cried almost every time she saw him. She said she LOVED to paint. My little girl loves to color and Ive never let her paint before so I bet she was in heaven! I cant wait to see all her pictures she comes home with so I can hang them with her brothers art. Conrad had a great time playing with his friends all day. He told me he was sad because he tried to play with his sister all day and he couldn't. I asked Kylie is she had fun and made new friends and she said "yea!" She said "YEA" to all 20 questions I asked her until I said "Do you want to go back?" To which she replied without hesitation "uh-uh, NO!" I hope tomorrow is a better day for her and she doesnt have such a bad day.
We went to Yogurtland after school for a special treat and then we went home to watch the new Tinkerbell movie that i bought for a first day of school treat.

Going to get frozen yogurt and she wanted to bring her lunch box ("purse") with her. She looks like such  big girl, it breaks my heart.

This boy is always mixing up his food and cooking something else with it. He was making a chocolate gummy bear water drink. mmm...

He enjoyed it, while I was trying not to gag.

Kylie's 1st Haircut & School prep

This happened on Tuesday, September 14th. I took Conrad in to get his hair trimmed because it just grows so darn fast. I decided since Kylie is starting school next week I should get her a new look to go with it. I love little girls with bangs and bobbed hair cuts, its so adorable! So I decided to give her the Suri haircut. She didn't do as well as I thought she would so I didn't get too many photos because I was holding her hand and reassuring her most of he time.  She had also fallen asleep on the car ride to the hair place so she wasn't happy about being woken up early and to a new environment. She started to become herself by the end of the cut. It turned out really cute but a little shorter then I asked for, especially the bangs. I think this was because my little princess pie would not sit still because she wanted to look at all the other kids getting a trim. It will grow out and I can even it up then.

Here is the before. It was a sweaty tangled up mess because she had been sleeping just before.
I love how the ends were always flipped up. She kinda had the Farrah Fawcet look going on.

Poor little bug, she was so tired. This is the only picture I got. I wish I had waited until she cheered up and I could have gotten more pictures.

All done and she got to pick a lollipop out for being such a sweetheart.
You cant really see the cut and its still damp so it looks funny.

You can see the cut better here. We went over to Grama Sheilas house after to play with Riley and have a family dinner. Kylie was playing in Grampas tomato garden and you can see from the face she got busted sneaking a taste of a nice juicy tomato. :)

Some other school preps for Kylie's first day...

She picked out a lunch box. We found it at the grocery store and its so much cuter than ones I've seen at Target.

It is so sparkly!! I just wish it had Snow White on it but if Kylie doesn't mind then I don't either.

The kids got post cards from their teachers! I thought it was such a sweet idea!

This is Kylie's card. Awe!

This is a sneak peak of her first day outfit. I am so excited about it because it is super cute!

I cant wait!!

The Room In Which We Live

I am a day late...oopsie! Yesterday was Show Us Your Life Friday over at Kelly's Korner and the topic was living rooms. I just put up my fall decorations the other day so it came at a perfect time.  To tell you the truth I hate our living room I hate the interior of the majority of my house. Simply because my husband refused to let me paint, renovate or buy decorations because "We arent going to live here long." Three years later and its still too empty and cold feeling to me. Ah well, we will move soon and then I will get to pick out and decorate a house to my liking. I am dreaming of that day!  Until then I reside here and I make it as cozy and cute as I can. Enjoy...

This is supposed to be our formal Living Room/ Dinning Room. As you can see the kiddos pretty much concured this territory. Just as well, we dont throw many dinner parties or do any formal entertaining anyway and this keeps them out of my hair so I will keep it this way.

Here is the family room/ den, but we pretty much live in this room all day so I shall call it the livingroom. This is the view from the kitchen. The kids were to curious about what I was taking pictures of to get them to move.

Here is another view. See how bright this pic came out? Yes, thats because we have horrid white walls the picture and room would look so much nicer with some sandy colored walls and some nice bright white crown molding, maybe a red accent wall. dont ya think?

My favorite fall decoration. I love this little pumpkin pillow!

The view into the kitchen.

There it is, my living room. Hope you enjoyed it and if you ever run into my hubby please tell him you think we need a nice coat of paint on these walls.
